Muniza and Faraz Manzil Indian Wedding Photographer

My first Indian wedding!

I met Muniza at a wedding fair last February and it was clear to see she wanted something a little different from the traditional shots for her wedding day. However, although I had won Muniza over with my images I still went along to her family home to meet the rest of her family. After a good chat and conversation about the day with Muniza’s parents I think I managed to calm any nerves about not using a traditional photographer for their daughter’s wedding.

I always find it’s better to meet with my wedding couples and go through their wedding day and see if we can throw a few ideas around, so it was so beneficial to meet and go through the my first two day Indian wedding. The family were so helpful with this, and it was clear to see that everyone was so excited about the day, and let me know exactly what would happen and for things to look out for.

On the day I arrived just as Muniza was having her make up done and needless to say she looked stunning! Before leaving to go to the venue Muniza and Faraz drove over with me to a park not far from where they lived where we took some beautiful couple shots.

When we arrived at the venue we began to take traditional shots on the stage which was draped in luxurious fabrics and flowers. I then had to rush to the main entrance where Faraz had just arrived. It’s at this point he has to offer gifts or money to Muniza’s family before he enters and only when they are satisfied he can pass. The Patel’s stood their ground with Faraz and his groomsmen with Muniza’s sister definitely putting up the best fight for this!

After the traditional shots and some fantastic food, the day was almost over. Muniza had mentioned to me that there will be a prayer at the end of the day where she will walk out and leave in the car with Faraz, and there would probably be a few tears! Well... nothing could have prepared me for the tears! It was so moving, as this was the point that Muniza no longer lived with her parents, It felt as if they were letting go as she left with Faraz to start their life together!
