Claire and Gareth Hilton at Town hall, Mcdonald Hotel Wedding Photographer
Gareth and Claire’s morning began with Gareth and the lads, not forgetting their two adorable sons Lennon and Sonny, getting ready with my second photographer, and myself with Claire and the girls at the McDonald Hotel in Manchester. From getting to know Claire and Gareth on the run up to their wedding I was really looking forward to this day. I knew there was going to be a lot of laughs, and this was exactly what we got!
Once preparation was all done we headed for the Town Hall, which any photographer will know is a dream to photograph a wedding at! There are so many wonderful little hidden walk ways and stair wells to really get creative with. Once the ceremony was over, we headed down to the main entrance steps for the big group shot of the whole wedding party, this makes such a great group photo as there are a few steps for all the guests to stand on. So no hiding for any of the guests! and from there I headed back inside to get some beautiful shots with the new Mr and Mrs Hilton. The long corridors and stair wells make for beautiful creative shots.
One of the images Gareth and Claire really wanted was one on top of the McDonald hotel with the Manchester skyline in the background. I created a shot a few years back with the Manchester skyline in the background which they both loved and wanted to do something similar. We made our way up to the roof, when Gareth told me that he gets a little vertigo now and then so we had to be pretty quick before this set in. We had to act pretty quick, but I was so happy with the images and just about made it back in time before Gareth felt too ill!
